Like everybody else

It seems that everybody in the world has a blog. The internet is always talking about them nowadays.
Well, now I've got one, too. And if that's as profound as this place ever gets, there's not much point in going on, is there?
I think it is. My life is changing. My attitudes are changing. My outlook on the world keeps changing. I'm even changing a little. You really wouldn't expect it from someone in his 50s. Maybe a little creativity and open-mindedness is a good thing to have.
That may explain why I am always looking at new things, looking for new experiences, seeking out something different, trying to stay out of the rut. I'm a pretty young guy between the ears, and I haven't lost my idealism. Most of it, anyway. Sometimes life gets discouraging, but I try to fight life off when it gets that way.
What am I learning now? I'm looking for a new belief system. Lost my religion, looking for something that better fits my life and my beliefs, the beliefs I have had for many years. It's a challenge, and it involves a lot of reading and studying. New tricks for old dogs, and not everyone can handle it. Wish me luck.
There's other stuff that I'm doing and thinking about, too. Some of my alternate personalities will tell you about them in due time. All in good time.
